Effective Wednesday, March 18 steps are to taken in the Archdiocese of Mobile.  These norms are effective through and including Palm Sunday, April 5, 2020 but may be extended depending upon future developments. 

All worship services have been cancelled.  Clergy are allowed to conduct Mass in private with one server. Holy Spirit priests will celebrate private Masses for intentions as have been coordinated. 

+  Fr. Patrick Gilbreath will live stream Mass on our Facebook page "Holy Spirit Parish - Montgomery, Alabama at 8:15am daily and 11am on Sunday. https://www.facebook.com/HolySpiritParishMGM/

+   Our parish doors, west doors to the Narthex, will remain open for prayer, 9am - 6pm Monday through Thursday, 9am - 5pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Please feel free to come spend time with our Lord.

+  "An Act of Spiritual Communion" prayer cards will be available in the church.

Confession will continue by appointment.  Please call the parish office.  Fr. Patrick is available for drive through confessions on Wednesday and Saturdays, 4:30pm - 5:30pm.

+  All Holy Water fonts are emptied and cleaned.

+  The parish office will remain open Monday - Friday 9am - 1pm .  Please call before stopping by.

Statement on Coronavirus

March 9, 2020  Archbishop Thomas J. Rodi has issued a statement.   Click here 

It is important to follow the current Center for Disease Control recommendations to prevent the infection or spread of a respiratory virus:

* Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
* Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
* Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
* Stay home when sick.
* Cough or sneeze into an elbow or use a tissue and place immediately in the trash.
* Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further guidance when appropriate.
